Inna Panasenkos Performance „Transformation“ . was held on 23 March 2018 in the Mercedes-Benz location in Moscow
From the age of sixteen, Inna Panasenko discovered her deep fascination for the Spanish fighting bull—a subject that has captivated great masters of art like Goya and Picasso, as well as literary figures such as Hemingway. For her, this motif became more than an artistic theme; it grew into a profound passion.
It was only after completing her final project that this exploration found its true starting point. In a monumental drawing measuring 2.20 x 15 meters, she brought La Corrida to life—a work that, in a dramatic performance, was set ablaze in an open arena to powerful music.
This moment marked a pivotal turning point. Rather than concluding her engagement with the subject, it ignited an even deeper exploration. She delved into the symbolism of the bull, its raw energy, and commanding presence. Over time, the motif became inseparable from her artistic identity, evolving into a central element of her work.
